Hybrid - 'Sky Full Of Diamonds' Music Video
I've been a die-hard fan of the band Hybrid for the last 20 plus years and so being given the opportunity to direct and create the VFX for their latest music video has to be the definition of a dream job.
I had already had a blast working alongside Mike and Lottie on ‘Flashpoint’ (also the definition of a dream job I might add!) and as with that video, Covid restrictions were to present similar logistical challenges when it came to the filming of SFOD.
With lockdown 3 in full effect, the original idea proposed by the band, was to have them perform as holograms which meant capturing their respective performances remotely and then sending the files to me so that I could add the VFX.
I suggested opening up the original hologram idea to include a CG environment which, in turn, would hint at the narrative that links to the Flashpoint video and the forthcoming album.
